They are training day and night to be the strongest out of the gate in March. Eating regiments, weight lifting, and coaching plans are the main discussion. Yet as this is going on I can't help but to think to myself "How can these people be having fun". I've personally worked second and even third jobs to make extra money and probably only put in half the effort some of these people put into training for races. Don't get me wrong I admire the effort. It shows people who have a great desire to win. But in the end doesn't this scenario leave you set up to fail. Even those who train hard still loose the majority of their races. With having such high expectations doesn't that leave a racer having a fifth place finish demoralized. I've seen this happen. I'm personally happy with just finishing and anything better than that is just gravy on the potatoes.

Hey get back there Lance.

Poor Contador wanted to win so badly he actually competed against his own teammates. Cycling. Every year I need a little brake from my friend the bike so that we will be able to live together in harmony. Plus it is also my time to make headway on all of the things in my life that take second place to cycling. As I go through this break I spend time in the evening online looking at cycling photos. I happened to run into this picture of Lance and it reminded me of what makes so many other cyclists better than me. Its devotion to misery. I hate riding in the cold, let alone in the rain. So to all of you out there riding in miserable conditions...Enjoy the ride. I'll give you all the nod as you pass me before the finish line. You earned it..

Radio Shack Team Bike

I have read a lot of bad reviews regarding this bike. They don't like the color or say there are too many R's. OK whatever. I have read some good reviews also. To those who don't like it, no worries. Your not being asked to ride it. And those that do like it probably will be buying one. In the big scheme of thing its all about sponsorship and giving them the spotlight. The sponsor gives the team money so why shouldn't they get all the R's that they want on the bike. I don't care as long as Shack kicks a bit of a.. this year. This is going to be new to me but what the heck. Obviously the majority of my blogs will be about the Monster Team and all of the interesting things that happen over its lifespan. But my blogs will also entail everything else that can possibly happen in ones life. If anyone ever even reads this site they must excuse me for all of my typos and grammar issues. I ride better than I write. Well I'm sure some would argue that point.
